The Kalash is one of the most important part of every hindu ritual and puja. It represents creation and new beginnings. The empty pot is a symbol for the earth and the water that is poured in it, represents the primitive water source which gave birth to life. The leaves and the coconut symbolize Creation. Love and togetherness is represented by the Holy thread that is wrapped around the coconut. When we place a kalash in our homes, we welcome the Blessings of all deities. It is also believed that the kalash is a symbol of the pot of Nectar that came out of the samudra Manthan.
